5-Piece Oak Dining Set with Butterfly-Leaf Table, Solid Rubberwood

This five-piece dining set centers on a rectangular oak-finish table with a self-storing butterfly leaf, so it seats four for everyday meals and expands to seat six when the leaf is raised for guests. The table and its four slat-back chairs are built from Asian rubberwood with no heat-treated wood, plywood, veneer, or laminate anywhere in the construction, which is unusual at this price point.

The chairs carry the same oak finish as the table for a fully matched look, with wide wood seats and a backrest shaped to the curve of the spine rather than a flat slab. Everything ships in three boxes, one for the table and one for each pair of chairs, and goes together with the included hardware and instructions.

Because the leaf hides inside the table itself, there's no separate leaf to store or track down when you need the extra seating, which makes this a practical pick for anyone who hosts occasionally but doesn't have room for a permanently larger table.
